Sir Patrick Brown, Chairman of UK Advisory Board, is currently Chairman of The Go-Ahead Group plc and senior independent director of Northumbrian Water Group plc. He has previously served as Chairman of Amey plc and the Independent Transport Commission, as a Non Executive Director of Arlington Securities plc and Hunting plc, and as a Trustee of the Charities Aid Foundation. His full-time career, after 10 years in industry and management consultancy, was in the Civil Service, where he was involved in many privatisations. His last appointment was as Permanent Secretary at the Department of Transport.

Barry Dinan is co-founder of Hanson Green, the specialist search consultancy for Chairmen and Non Executive Directors. Now owned by the Directorbank Group, Barry remains a Director there and is also a member of the StratCo Inc’s Advisory Board. Having been in the Irish Guards, he became an insurance broker, spending three years in the Far East with Jardine Matheson & Co. Once back in the UK, he started his own insurance broking firm. Barry served as Managing Director of the London branch of McDermott International, the global oil services group.

He also served as past Chief Executive of four fund management businesses: Touche Remnant (now part of Henderson), Threadneedle, Rothschilds and Deutsche Asset Management Europe. He is also currently Chairman of Henderson Diversified Income Plc and Microlease Plc, Senior Non Executive Director at Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc and Director of both Kazmunaigaz EP Plc and JPM Eurofledgeling Investment Trust Plc. Paul is also Chairman of the Majid al Futtaim Trust in Dubai. He began his career as a fund manager and has extensive financial and business experience globally.

John Matthews past Chairman of the global business services group Regus. He is currently Senior Independent Director at Diploma, Minerva and SDL. More latterly, he has been appointed Chairman of Crest Nicholson and Senior Independent Director at Rotork. Having initially qualified as a Chartered Accountant, he became a merchant banker, specialising in corporate finance and subsequently took on a senior role in the international aggregates, construction and house building industries.

Previous board positions include Chairman of Johnson Matthey plc, Director of BP plc and adviser to the board of John Swire & Sons Ltd. He also served as director of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank and as Executive Director of John Swire & Sons Limited. Awarded an OBE in 1989, he was a committee member of the Hong Kong Association and former Vice President of the China-Britain Business Council.

Christopher Sheridan, formerly Deputy Chairman of Samuel Montagu & Co Ltd, is currently Non Executive Director on a number of boards including Hanover Acceptances Limited (Commercial and Residential Property Investment and Major European Juice Processor and Distributor), Standard Bank London Ltd, Alpha Bank London Ltd and Willmott Dixon Holdings Limited (Construction). Prior to this, he has also been Chairman of Yorkshire Building Society and Non Executive Director at Minerva PLC (Property Development). A merchant banker by background, he held various positions within Samuel Montagu & Co Ltd from 1962, eventually assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer.
